Cottages of the Castle of Saveilles

On the borders of Charente, Charente-Maritime and Deux-Sèvres, halfway between Niort and Angoulême, on the territory of the commune of Paizay-Naudouin, a quarter of a league from this town, stands since the 14th century. century, the Château de Saveilles, combining the characteristics of a fortified castle with those of a pleasure castle.
It is a square complex, isolated from the mainland by vast moats filled with water and supported by walls. It is accessed by two stone bridges, fixed, which since the Revolution have replaced the swing drawbridge to the south and the swing bridge with two arches to the north, once defending access to the castle.

Halfway between Poitiers and Angoulême, Ruffec (TGV / TER station) 20 km, in the countryside, within the large castle park, fully enclosed by walls, we welcome you to one of our three lodgings:

• the Logis near the castle located in the outbuildings of the castle, (XIVth – XVIth centuries),
• the Logis within the walls of the castleincluding one of the defense towers, and
• the Logis du parc located behind the outbuildings of the chateau.

These independent lodgings are ideal for families or a group of friends. Depending on availability, they can be reserved in groups depending on the number of people to be accommodated (15/16 with two lodgings, or 20 with three).
